This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Ron Trainor who was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 14, 1947 and passed away on September 11, 2008 in New Westminster, BC at the age of 60.

Dad, you will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Ron Trainor Passing

Hello All,

My Father passed away at 18:20, he is with Jesus. Please read the following
that was written in his Will:

"Just a request that my loved ones light a candle and reflect on the fact
that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Separated
for a time from those loved ones on earth I will be reunited in a much
better place with those waiting to greet and celebrate my arrival. Seeing my
Mom and many others will with no tears, heartache, pain, suffering or grief,
just pure love and joy, will be something I look forward to when Jesus calls
me."

Please remember my Father as we do, an unconditionally loving, gentle,
gracious, compassionate man. I know he spread his love around to each of
you.

All my love,
Carey & Ron Jr.

Dad

Hello, thank you for kind, sincere words of condolence & encouragement.
I will explain to some of you what has been happening the last few weeks. I have only had enough in me to keep his sisters & dad consistently updated as there was always some test or difficult decision or test/diagnosis each & every day he was in the hospital.

He was in the hospital for 16 days & on life support for 11 of them. At 6:20pm Sep 11 he passed away 10 minutes after removing the ventilator from his trache (life support) which is what he wanted as he was too weak to continue. He was very weak with many things wrong with him. It took intervention to get him in the hospital as there had to be something seriously wrong. So sad he let himself get to this point. Quite sad because by the time I was able to bring him it was really too late. He had at least 4 blood transfusions, brain surgery to remove an infected & broken blood vessel that burst, a handful of focal seizures, bleeding from the lungs (thus the ventilator), 2 valves in his heart that were not functioning properly, endocarditis at 1 of the valves, his kidneys were damaged which affected his system in many ways & swollen, infected legs from the knees down. He apparently had 1 valve not doing its job for a long time but what may have started everything was an abscess tooth that may have spread infections throughout his organs & legs. I'm sorry he had to go through so much in the end but he is where he has so anxiously been wanting to go. At 6:20 the angels rejoiced, welcoming him home.
I have a lot to be thankful for having him as my father. To me he represented love & forgiveness & the greatest gift being the life that we can live and share with Jesus in our heart.
Dad wanted us to light a candle & in prayer celebrate his life & remember the times we spent with him. His long time best friend & business partner Ron Bazar started a blog for those who would like to express their feelings or experiences since there won't be a funeral. I think this is an excellent idea & I encourage you to leave a note or story as you desire.
Thank you for all your continued support and love all these years & during this tough time.

Love & blessings to you all
The Trainor family
